James W. Bridges, Jr., 51, of Hendersonville, NC, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 26, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James W. Bridges, Sr. and Marguearite H. Bridges.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Rita Bridges of Hendersonville; four daughters, Tina Bridges of Ridgeland, SC; Christy Craig of Candler; Angela Bradley of Leesburg, VA; and Melinda Wolfe of Hendersonville; two sons, Michael Jones and Shawn Wolfe of Hendersonville; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 5 PM Wednesday, May 28 at Crossroads Baptist Church with the Reverend Eddie Conard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the WNC Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association, 31 College Place Ste. D320, Asheville, NC 28801-2644.

    Rita, I just want you to know how much we appreciate you and how much you and Jimmy have meant to us.Although we lost contact that did not mean we did not stop thinking about you all or stop loving you two.Bridgette loved her Uncle Jimmy with all her heart.Terry has often said that Jimmy was the only real brother he had and the only one he cared anything about.Now that we have eachothers phone numbers again lets not lose contact.Family is all we have in the end.We love you very much.
