James E. Tesnear, Sr., 65, of Madison County went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Madison Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Gaston County, James lived in Madison County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Annie Putnam Tesnear; his mother, Juanita Tesnear Burch; his sister, Maria Elder, and his uncle, John Tesnear.
James loved to work as a mechanic and was an all-around handyman.
Survivors include the love of his life, Wendy Laughter; three sons, Robby Tesnear and his wife, Ashley; James Tesnear, Jr.; and David Tesnear and his wife, Misty, all of Hendersonville; two step-daughters, Amanda and Helen Laughter of Mars Hill; twenty-two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert, Eddie, and Kevin Tesnear; three sisters, Judy Broyles, Tina Crisp, and “twin sister,” Diane Tesnear; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Shuler Funeral Home Chapel.
