James V. ìJimî Taylor, 77, of Hendersonville, died Friday, July 25, 2008 after a short illness. A lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of the late G. Otis and Annie S. Taylor.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was employed with Cranston Print Works for 13 years and retired from GE in 2001.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Louise Young Taylor; sons, Kevin Taylor and fiancÈe, Brenda Caudle and Keith Taylor, all of Hendersonville; two grandsons, Matthew and Kyle, both of Hendersonville; and several cousins.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 28, 2008 at Shepherd Memorial Park with the Reverend Wally Shamburger officiating. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post 77, Hedrick-Rhodes Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5206, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 14. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at Shuler Funeral Home.
