Jean Alice (Westphal) Siebold, 74, met her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Hendersonville, NC. She was born on April 29, 1943 to the late Clarence and Anna (Ainsworth) Westphal in Shawano, WI and graduated from Shawano High School in 1961. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard; brothers, Herb, Bob and Don; sister, Mary; infant brothers, Harvey and Allen; stepson, Mike Siebold and brother-in-law, Melvin Messman.  She started her career after graduation at AAL/Thrivent Financial, where she worked in many areas throughout the company until she retired. Jean married Richard Siebold on May 3, 1969 and they lived in Appleton, WI until their retirement when they moved to Hendersonville, NC.

Jean was a loving, caring and giving wife, stepmother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, flower gardens and the many cats they had over the years. She and Richard loved traveling around the country visiting their relatives and enjoying the sites. Jean loved being a part of her church community and was very active with them. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always loved a good joke. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Jean was as colorful as the yarns she used to create the many afghans and baby layettes she made and donated to her church.

She is survived by her brother Orville (Judy) Westphal of Shawano, WI; sister, Carol (Jim) Dillenburg of Green Bay, WI; stepdaughters, Teresa (Donald Weber of Bayfield, WI, Kathy (Casey) Allen of Denham, LA, Debbie (Dave) Weber of Bayfield, WI; stepdaughter-in-law, Cindy Siebold of Tomball, TX; sisters-in-law, Marlene Westphal of Shawano, WI and Denie Westphal of Mena, AR; sisters and brother-in-laws, Alvina (Bob) DeHappart of Aurora, TX, Audrey Messman of Lady Lake, FL, Joe and Carol Siebold of Two Rivers, WI, Judy (Ralph) Wuellner of Manitowoc, WI; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Mount Pisgah Lutheran Church with Pastor Philip McLain officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A memorial fund will be given to the local Humane Society in her honor.
