Jeffrey ìLemoî Lemons, 49, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Pardee Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Bobby and Nancy Wilson Lemons.

He was a graduate of West Henderson High School and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was employed by Diamond Brand until he was no longer able to work because of his illness. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1616 and an avid golfer. He was a spiritual man.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Mia Lemons of Mountain Home; his children, Ryan Lemons, Lara Lemons and Savannah Lemons, all of Hendersonville; three sisters; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Izzy.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm Monday, February 1, 2010 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will follow at the Elks Lodge of Hendersonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elks Lodge Sickness & Distress Fund, PO Box 2550, Hendersonville, NC 28793.

    Jeff grew up beside me(The Vaughn family) on Willow Street. I used to babysit the four children. Jeff, his sisters and mother and father were a big part of my teen years. My love goes out to his family.
