Jerry O. Hayes, 73, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, October 12, 2015.

Born in Georgia, he was the son of the late James O. and Norene M. Hayes. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Hayes; daughter, Terrie Lynn Hayes; three brothers; and a great-grandchild.

Jerry served in US Navy and had lived in Hendersonville for 40 years. He was employed by Eaton Cutler as an electrician.

Jerry is survived by his sons, William Hayes and Brad Hayes; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother and three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2 pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home.
