Jerry Wayne Staggs

Jerry W. Staggs, 58 of Hendersonville, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at his home. Born in Spartanburg, SC he was a son of Ethel Short Rogers of Jacksonville, Fla. and the late James Staggs. He had lived in Henderson County for most of his life and was a 1971 graduate of East Henderson High School. He was employed by Kyocera and was previously a longtime employee of Steelcase.

Surviving is his wife Brenda Staggs; a daughter Veronica Staggs Naples and husband Brian of Hendersonville; a son Brandon Staggs of Monroe; a daughter Jera Staggs of Monroe; six grandchildren Teddy Webb, Cody Webb, Kelli Webb, Tapanga Naples, Nevaeh Simmons, and Gayge Smith; four step-children; seven step-grandchildren; a sister Patricia Ann Gregory of Una, SC; two brothers Gregory Allen Staggs and wife Diane of Saluda and Charlie J. Staggs of Hendersonville; step-sisters Clara Trace and Gloria Land; and step-brother Tommy Rogers, Jr. all of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
