    Anita Kleinhammer says:
I am one of the group of "Hens",as we were called, that grew up in Bay Ridge, went to school together, graduated and continued our friendship all these years. We had wonderful times together, laughed a lot, cried at times and had a lot of fun. Those are the times I will always remember. I am sorry for your loss and I pray that the Lord will give you comfort and strength at this time.lLDAY

Aunt Joanie always treated me very special! I was always suprised very time I got christmas and birthday cards and presents in the mail! She always welcomed me into her home and encouraged us cousins to be close. I know she would do anything for me and I love her for that! I love my uncle and cousins so much and she is everybit a part of all these ties. My uncle Eddie, Cousins Scott and Laura and I are very close and she definitely always encouraged this. I did not get to spend as much time with her as I always hoped for and now want to make it up to her by making it a priority to get closer with her family. Her wonderful sister and daughter enlightened me on details of her life and showed me pictures of her wonderful upbringing! I LOVE YOU AUNT JOAN and will try to be much closer to everybody. I know you are watching and want to feel you smiling on all of us!I have enjoyed staying here with my Dad in Aunt Joan and Uncle Eddie's house and seeing again all of her collections and sewing creations! It feels warm and cozy. It reminds me of my own warm and loving mom and I love that they also had a chance to be close.

    Larry D Causey says:
Joan was a serene and loving person. She had the strength of her father and the softness of her mother. I knew by her eyes how much she loved Eddie and her children. She would glow when talking about them all. And if this was not enough for me to know the character and heart of this wonderful soul, my Mom cherished everything about her Joan. I can never ever remember Mom mentioning her name with out saying I need to talk to Joan. She cherished every word and meeting she had with Joan. Joan was more to my Mom and to all of her extended family than you can ever know. We will miss you Joan and we will keep a place in our hearts for you always.
