John William Basiewicz, 50, of Dana, NC, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Pardee Memorial Hospital.
He was a Henderson County resident most of his life, son of the late William Bill and Margaret “Peggy” Basiewicz. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gertrude Katharina Clemons.
He was employed by Federal Paper Board, the Greenville News, and Excelsior Packaging. He loved his children and grandchild dearly and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Clemons Basiewicz of Dana; three children, Michael B. Patterson and wife, Michelle; Christopher L. Patterson; and Kyle J. Patterson, all of Henderson County; a granddaughter, Faith Patterson; one brother, Michael William Basiewicz and wife, Judy “Tanner” Basiewicz, and one sister, Kathleen Basiewicz, all of Dana; a nephew, Johnathan Basiewicz; and father-in-law, Jimmie Lee Clemons.
A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Thursday, March 6, 2008 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The Reverend Dan Blackwell will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Shuler Funeral Home.
