John (Jack) Case of Hendersonville, NC died June 9, 2015 after a short hospitalization.

Born in St. Louis, MO, January 28, 1926 to Esther and William Case, he graduated from St. Alamo High School, Texas (1941), served in the military for 2 years, then graduated from the University of Missouri (1948) with a degree in business administration.

Jack worked for Standard Oil then Chase, Brass, and Copper Company in Missouri and Ohio until his retirement in 1985. He was an active member of his church choir, various church committees, and always was just a call away when a repair needed to be done. His love for the Boy Scouts was evident as an Eagle Scout, member of the Tribe of Mic-0-say, troop leader, and merit badge counselor.

Jack was married to Betty J Case for 63 years, until she passed in 2012. He lived in Hendersonville for the past 24 years. Survived by children Greg (Kim Capps) Case of Silver Spring, MD and Gwen (Mark) Jaeger of Chapin, SC. Grandchildren are Erin Jaeger, Sara (Patrick) Bergerson, and Reed Jaeger all of New York City, NY.

A memorial/celebration of life service will take place July 3, 2015 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville, NC at 2 pm. There will be a reception following the service.
