John J. Lippert

John J. Lippert, 81, of Hendersonville, died Sunday, April 24, at the Laurels of Hendersonville. A native of Steubenville, Ohio, he had lived in Rocky River, Ohio prior to moving to Hendersonville in 1979. He was a son of the late William F. and Mary C. Baird Lippert and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Knox and Joan Lippert and a brother, David Lippert. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a meteorologist for the U. S Government, retiring in 1984 after 30 years of

service.

Mr. Lippert is survived by his wife, Genevieve Lippert; a son, John W. Lippert and his wife Cynthia of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Brenda Zuccolotto and her husband David of Santa Cruz, CA; 9 grandchildren, Allyson Lippert and her fiancÈ Vini Leteri, Hilary Linder and her husband Kestrel, Bryn Huegerich and her husband Reed, Madison Lippert, Justin Davidson and his wife Julia, Sara Davidson, Brent Davidson, Ross Virden and Genna Virden; a sister in-law, Anna Marie Bierwagen and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Friday, April 29, at Immaculate Conception Church. The Reverend Nick Mormando will officiate. The family will receive friends in the St. Francis Hall of the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Immaculate Conception Church, 208 7th Avenue West, Hendersonville, NC 28791, or to Interfaith Assistance Ministries, PO Box 2562, Hendersonville, NC 28793-2562.
