Joseph A. ìJoeî Esposito, 74 of Hendersonville, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his home.

He was a son of the late Peter and Emma Altaire Esposito. He was also preceded in death by two children, Peggee Johnson and Tommy Mantooth.

A native of Charleston, SC he had been a summer resident of Henderson County since 1976, before moving permanently in 1994.

A US Army veteran, he served in the US Army Reserves and was stationed in Germany for 3 years. Mr. Esposito attended Murray Vocational School in Charleston and graduated from Rhema Bible College, where he was ordained. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was employed by the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 32 years. He was a member of Joy Outreach Fellowship and was an avid golfer who loved saltwater fishing.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Margo B. Esposito; son, Joe ìJoeJoeî Esposito,Jr. of Hobe Sound, Fla; daughter, Sarah Altaire Esposito of West Columbia, SC; a grandson, Joel J. Esposito of Ladson, SC; two brothers, John Esposito and Patrick Esposito; and a sister, Rose Fluka.

No services are planned.
