    Elizabeth Burkett says:
I was one of Steven's class mates in the class of 2005 at West Henderson. I am very sad about the loss... Steven was an awesome person, and in my eyes I also see him as a hero. People used to always pick on me in school, and I remember one day steven said ya'll that ain't funny, come on grow up and just leave her alone. They stopped for the day... And that meant a lot to me. I wasn't as close to him as alot of my friends were, but that act of kindness is one I'll never forget. I will always remember his willingness to stand up for what was right. And if I could only tell him one last thing, It would be thank you Steven...
