Julia May Caglione, age 91, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from complications of a fall.

The memorial service will be held at Shuler Funeral Home (125 Orr’s Camp Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792 — phone 828-693-5220) at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2013. Reverend Jonathan Jenkins of Bearwallow Baptist Church will be officiating.

Julia was born in Forest City, Missouri on May 8, 1922 to the late Winfield Scott and Esther Evelyn Gifford. The family later moved to Denver, CO in 1929 where she grew up.

After attending Secretarial School, Julia worked as a Legal Secretary and Office Manager for 52 years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and being with family and friends.

Julia is preceded in death by her younger son Raymond Earl and lovingly remembered by her surviving children Patricia Ann Davis and Richard Allen Perley.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Bearwallow Baptist Church, PO Box 187, Gerton, NC 28735. The family of Julia Caglione wishes to thank Bearwallow Baptist Church and Shuler Funeral Home for their support at this time.
