June Livesay Vogt, 99, born September 4, 1922 in Bluford, IL, died July 3, 2022 in Calhoun GA, from complications of a broken hip.

June graduated from Broadview Academy in 1940 and then went on to attend Washington Missionary College. She worked at the General Conference World headquarters for 37 years, first in the Youth Department and then as Receptionist and Director of Transportation Services. While there she also served as support staff and later director of the secretarial pool for six General Conference Sessions.

June and William Vogt were married in 1944, beginning 70 deeply devoted years together. In 1984, they retired to Hendersonville, NC where they were very active in the Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist Church and Park Ridge Hospital gift shop. In September 2020, June moved to Calhoun GA to live with her nephew, Don and his wife, Barbara Livesay.

June rested in Jesus on July 3, 2022, just two months shy of her 100th birthday. Loved ones preceding her in death were her husband, Bill in 2013, brother, Kenneth, and sister, Hazel. She is survived by her brother, Loren Livesay of Sawyer, Michigan and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received for a visitation on Friday, July 8, 2022  from 10-11AM with a funeral service to follow at Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC at 11:00 am with Pastor Ivan Blake officiating.  The interment will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park in Hendersonville, NC.
