Katherine Camp, 48 of Hendersonville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2008 after a courageous, seventeen year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She was a native of Newberry, SC, a 1978 graduate of Newberry High School, 1982 graduate of Erskine College and 1994 graduate of Blue Ridge Community College. She moved to Hendersonville in 1982 and was employed by Wilcox World Travel and Tours as a travel agent for two years. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie E. Singley and father-in-law, Thomas Camp. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Jack Camp; two daughters, Jessica and Elizabeth Camp both of Hendersonville; two sisters Mary Carlisle of Newberry, SC and Annette Wacker of Boynton Beach, FL; mother Doris Singley of Newberry, SC; mother-in-law, Beatrice Camp of Hendersonville; and caregiver Carol Worthy of Hendersonville.

A memorial service will be held in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Reverend Eric Hardman will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorials may be made to the Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care Elizabeth House, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 and to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mid Atlantic Chapter, 9801-I Southern Pine Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28273.
