Kathryn Taylor McAbee, 56, of Flat Rock, NC died Tuesday, June, 29, 2010 at her home.

Born in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Doyle and Fannie Blankenship Taylor. She was a 1972 graduate of Asheville High School.

Before moving to Henderson County nine years ago, she had resided in Asheville and Candler. She was employed by Advance Auto of Hendersonville.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronnie McAbee of Flat Rock; her sister and brother, Kim Watson and Keith Taylor; two sons, John Penland and Travis Penland; three step-children, Shawn McAbee, Mitchell McAbee and April McAbee; ten grandchildren; three nephews; two nieces; and one grand-niece.

No services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
