Kenneth E. “Kenny” Heatherly, Jr., 57, of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, April 6, at the Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Kenneth E. Heatherly, Sr. and the late Betty Ann Justice Heatherly. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Heatherly. He attended East Henderson High School and possessed many skills in the construction field, including carpentry and electrical work. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and NASCAR fan. He was of the Baptist faith. Kenny is survived by his son, Eric Ryan Heatherly and his wife Jeana of Dana; two sisters, Angela Sheppard and her husband Jamie of Hendersonville and Tammy Cooper of Hendersonville; two brothers, Randy Heatherly and his fiancée Angie of Hendersonville and Sean Heatherly of Hendersonville; one niece, three nephews, five great-nieces and seven great-nephews. A funeral will be held 12 pm Wednesday, April 10, in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Rev. Clint McKnight and Rev. Keith Lindsey will officiate. The family will receive guests at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
