Kevin Alan Jones, 59, of East Flat Rock, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Kevin was born in VanBuren, Maine on March 2, 1962, to Gerald T. Jones and the late Patricia L. Jones.

Kevin was a Petty Officer First Class in the US Navy, serving over 9 years.  Kevin was an owner-operator truck driver, transporting freight for over 15 years.  Kevin was a member of St. Barnabus Catholic Church in Arden, NC.  He was also a member of the Henderson County Gem and Mineral Society and the Henderson County Mineral and Lapidary Museum.  Kevin loved making jewelry, mining for gems, and fishing.

Kevin is survived by his father, Gerald T. Jones (Kim); brothers, Steve Michael Jones (Michelle Parker Jones) of Flat Rock, NC and brother, John Paul Jones (Michelle Allen Jones) of Hendersonville, NC; sister, Sandra Ann Odom of Pensacola, FL; nephew, Shawn Thomas Jones (Lora); and their children, Cayden and Makenna Jones of Concord, NC.

A visitation will take place at Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 1 to 3 PM with a funeral service to follow at 3PM with Rev. Hunter Preston officiating.

A private burial will take place at Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
