Kristina Dorsey Sturdivant, 33, of Hendersonville, died Sunday, April 29, at the Elizabeth House. Born in Spain, she had lived most of her life in Henderson County and was a graduate of North Henderson High School. She had worked for Park Ridge Hospital and Wilsonart, but was happiest being at home with her family. She also loved spending time at the beach. She grew up attending Dana Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hannon and Blanche Bishop of Hendersonville.
Mrs. Sturdivant is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick Sturdivant; her father, Todd Dorsey of Hendersonville; her mother, Patty Ashley and her husband Jeff of Hendersonville; three children, Kierra MacKenzie Hill, Kendall Savannah Williams and Kooper Patrick Sturdivant, all of Hendersonville; a stepson, Jamie Ryan Sturdivant of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Jennifer Lee Dorsey and Brooke Ann Ashley, both of Hendersonville and her paternal grandparents, Fred and Suzie Dorsey of Hendersonville.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 6, at Dana United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Warren will officiate. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kristinaís name may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Rd. Flat Rock, NC 28731.
