LaRae Dougall, 78, of Hendersonville, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Frank Hall and Nadean Tinsley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, William C. Dougall; step-father, Lewis Tinsley; sister, Fausteen Martin; and her brother, Caroll Hall.
She was a longtime resident of Manassas, Virgina before retiring to Hendersonville eight and a half years ago. LaRae was employed as a contract specialist with the Department of the US Army for 31 years, before retiring in 1996.
LaRae enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel, and her favorite destination was Las Vegas.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Dougall and his wife Wendy of Columbia, SC, and Craig Scott Dougall and his wife Debra of Martinsburg, WV; daughters, Patricia Paglinawan and her husband Roberto of Tualatin, OR, Theresa Rogers of Hendersonville, NC, and LaRae Rogers and her husband John; grandchildren, Robert and Bryan Paglinawan of Tualatin, OR, Leah Hooper and her husband Michael of Hendersonville, NC, William and Molly Dougall of Columbia, SC, and Ryan Dougall of Martinsburg, WV; step-grandchildren, Jesse Rogers of Boiling Springs, SC, and Allison Rogers of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Caden, Blake and Brooke Paglinawan of Tualatin, OR, and Julius and Jillian Hooper of Hendersonville, NC.
There are no local services planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
