Larry Dean Hardin, 73, of East Flat Rock, North Carolina, was promoted to Heaven September 5, 2022, during a brief stay at Mission Hospital.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ida Bell Hardin. Larry graduated from East Henderson High School and began a lifelong dedicated career as a Machinist. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Larry loved music and was especially interested in singing and playing his guitar.

Left to cherish Larry’s memory are his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Ruth Rollins Hardin; daughter, Deanna Hardin Arant (Rocky); sons, Dennis Hardin (Jennifer) and Dwayne Hardin (Dana); grandchildren, Montana Norris (Jackie), Mason Hardin, Ryan Norris, Ethan Norris (Shelby) and Schuyler Hardin (Grace); great-grandchildren, Tucker Corn, Malachi Norris, Sage Norris and the arrival of Scarlett Norris.  Larry also leaves behind his sister, Vanessa Norris (Tim); as well many nieces, nephews, cousins, great friends and his church family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Mountain View Baptist Church in Zirconia with Pastor Sam Beddingfield and Pastor Jeremy Heatherly officiating; a visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations may be made in Larry’s memory to The Gideons or Mountain View Baptist Church Fund.
