Leona Thompson, of Saluda, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011.

She was a daughter of the late Andrew and Eva Mae Pittman Laughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carnell Lee Laughter.

She is survived by her son, Michael Worthington of Columbia, SC; daughter, Lynn Case and husband, Michael of Etowah; son, Douglas Worthington and wife, Vivian of Gaffney, SC; son, David Worthington and wife, Ann of Asheville; brother, Thomas Laughter and wife of Saluda; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, September 18, 2011at Friendship Baptist Church of Saluda.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731.
