Leonard M. Dahl, 74, of Hendersonville, NC, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at his home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late John and Ellen Marie Dahl. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Agnes Thorton, and brother, John Edward Dahl.

He lived in Closter, NJ for many years before moving to Hendersonville almost 19 years ago. He was a veteran of the US Army. Before retiring, he was employed by Brennan Steel Company as a foreman. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Sunset Lodge of the Shriners for 50 years and the Hendersonville Shrine Club, Oasis Temple. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dahl of Hendersonville; his daughter, Kelli Dahl of Cape Cod, MA; two sons, James Goehler of Denver, CO, and Greg O. Dahl and wife, Briana, of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, November 19, at Grace Lutheran Church. The Reverend Greg Williams will officiate.
