Lillian G. Laughter, 85, of Hendersonville died Monday, January 25, 2010 at Four Seasons Elizabeth House following a period of declining health.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Grice and Maggie Hollingsworth Grice and wife of the late Mitchell B. Laughter who died in 1977. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son, Thomas Laughter and his wife, Peggy McFalls Laughter, of Leicester, NC; three daughters, Alice Prince of Hendersonville, Thelma Flores of Greensboro, and Patricia Pittman and husband, Larry, of Rutherfordton; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Lucille Clarke of Pickens, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 28 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Revs. Ken Lytle and Thomas Laughter will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at Shuler Funeral Home.
