Lillian Ward

Lillian L. Ward, 88, of Flat Rock, went to be with her Lord after an extended illness on Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Everett Tillman Bayne and Leila Mae Rhodes Bayne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene S. Ward, who passed away in 2004.

She was a member of the Hendersonville Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Louise Perez of Asheville; three sons, Donius Eugene Ward and wife, Joanne, of Tryon, Jimmy Ward and wife, Delma, of Hendersonville, and Verlon Ward and wife, Donna, also of Hendersonville; two brothers, Everett Bayne of Green River and David Bayne of Liberty, SC; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, November 17, 2008 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The Reverend Charles Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bayne Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Verlon Ward on Berea Church Road.
