Lillie Mae Simpson, 87, of Myersville, MD, died Sunday, October 24, 2010.

She was the daughter of the late Clyde L. and Mary Bertha Foy Smith and wife of the late Jesse Lee Simpson. She was also preceded in death by sons, Donnie Lee and Roger Dale Simpson, and daughter, Wanda Davis.

She is survived by eleven children, Patricia Davis (Roger) of TN; Lawrence Simpson (Jannie) of NC; Rahnie Simpson (Tommie) of FL; Mary Lou Stull (Paul) of MD; Margarett Miles (Bob) of NB; David Simpson (Sylvia) of MD; Judy Gallagher (Les) of NJ; Karen Garland of MI; Lowell Simpson (Valerie) of NC; Paul Simpson (Donna) of MD; and Gladys Palmertree of Washington State; one sister, Ruth Jackson, and one brother, R.C. Smith, both of SC; forty-four grandchildren; sixty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 6 PM Wednesday, October 27 at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Ellicott City, MD. The Revs. Catheryn Vitek and Major Leroy Miles will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 30 at Beulah Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. The Reverends Bob Miles and Dewey Barnwell will officiate. Burial will be at Boylston Church Cemetery in Mills River, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 ñ 8 PM Friday, October 29 at Shuler Funeral Home.
