Linda Harriet Cox Randall, 51 of Hampton, Tennessee, formerly of Hendersonville, NC, died suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Born in Henderson County, she was the daughter of Luther and Joan Gebe Cox of Hendersonville. A graduate of Edneyville High School, she had lived in Tennessee for almost 30 years. She was a photo technician at Wal-Mart and was previously an over the road truck driver for 25 years with her husband.
She was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church in Hampton, TN.
She was preceded in death by her brother Alton Cox.
Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband of 26 years, Glen Randall; her brother James Tyler Cox of Marion; her step-children Terry Ann Bollinger of Hudson, Fla., Glendora Miller of Johnson City, TN, Linda Randall of Johnson City, Patsy Randall of Shelby, NC and Pastor Chris Randall of Lincolnton, NC; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Fruitland United Methodist Church. Pastor Jerry Warren and Rev. Richard Ritter will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00pm Saturday at the church and at other times will be at the home of her parents at 202 Gebe Lane off Green Mountain Road.
