Linda Parris Tuttle, 53, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock after suffering a long illness.
Born in Rockingham County, she was the daughter of Bob and Ruth Tuttle of Hendersonville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Tuttle; her maternal grandparents, John and Lena Hill; and her paternal grandparents, Tom and Lula Tuttle.
She moved to Hendersonville in 1965 and went to Edneyville High School where she played basketball. She was employed by the Absorba Company as a Quality Control Supervisor. She was a member of the Fruitland and Edneyville United Methodist Church and the Elks Lodge #1616. She loved the ocean, music, and dancing.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Michelle Thompson and her grandson, Colton Andrew Rogers; her sister, Teresa Riddle and husband, Danny; sister, Nancy Tuttle; brother, Tony Tuttle; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Edneyville United Methodist Church with Pastors Steve Byrum and Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 ñ 9 PM Friday at Shuler Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bob and Ruth Tuttle.
