Lloyd Daniel ìL.D.î Johnson, Jr., 82, of Hendersonville, NC, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.

Born in Union, SC, he was the son of the late Lloyd Daniel Johnson, Sr., and Elizabeth Mannass Johnson.

He graduated from Union High School and owned and operated ìMr. Tileî for 63 years. Before moving to Hendersonville, he had lived in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He was a member of the Hendersonville Seventh-day Adventist Church for 26 years and sang in gospel quartets.

He is survived by his loving wife, Erna Jeanne Culpepper Johnson of Hendersonville; his daughter, Linda Johnson Montero of Hendersonville; his son, James Lloyd Johnson of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Seth Flynn, Nathan Flynn, Timothy Barker, Mike Montero, Kimberly Johnson Lance, and Matthew Johnson; great-grandchildren, Elana Flynn, Nolan Flynn, Kinsley Lance, Jasmine Barker, and Madalynn Johnson; close friends, Charles and Beverly Watkins; seven nieces; three nephews; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pastors Bill Ambler and Charles Ferguson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 ñ 8 PM Tuesday at Shuler Funeral Home.
