Lonnie “Buddy” N. O’Steen, 83, of Hendersonville passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Elizabeth House following a brief illness. He was a son of the late William and Inez O’Steen. He was also preceded in death by this brother, William “Tommy” O’Steen. A native of Winter Park, Florida, Lonnie had resided in Henderson County for the past 30 years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who had served during the Korean War era. Lonnie had worked for many years as a real estate lender and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville. He was an avid golfer who loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia O’Steen; sons, Lonnie O’Steen, Jr. and Gary Scott O’Steen and his wife Sandra Lee; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Services will be private.
