Lowell E. Jarrett, Jr., 90, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Elizabeth House, following a period of declining health. A native of West Virginia, he was the son of the late Lowell E, Jarrett, Sr. and Sylvia Buckner Jarrett. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry A. Jarrett and his three sisters. He had resided in Jupiter, Florida for 29 years before settling in Henderson County 34 years ago. In his early teenage years, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.

Lowell was employed by Union Carbide in West Virginia, then Air Products of West Palm Beach, FL before being self-employed as a general contractor, land developer and real estate broker. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville for 25 years before becoming a member at Fruitland Baptist Church for the past nine years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. An avid outdoorsman, Lowell loved to hunt and fish. He was a very giving man and had supported many students at Fruitland Bible College over the years. A proud supporter of the State of Israel, Lowell was a man of great wisdom and teacher to all. He would treat everyone he met with extreme dignity and respect, whether they deserved it or not.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janice; son, Mark Lowell Jarrett and his wife, Carol; daughter, Kriss L. Jarrett; grandchildren, Tori Raymond, Alleigh Raymond, Jason Jarrett, Jennifer Jarrett, Jillian Jarrett, Natalie Jarrett, Ashley Jarrett and Kelleigh Jarrett; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Fruitland Baptist Church with Reverend Craig Stepp officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1-2pm. Burial will follow the service in Fruitland Cemetery.
