Lucilla Loretta Kohler, 87, of Fletcher, NC, passed away Sunday evening, June 13, 2010 at Cherry Springs Village.

Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Roaul and Rhea Bertrand De Grandpre. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Emil Raymond Kohler, and a sister and brother.

During World War II, she worked for the Armory and then later for Aircraft Fittings. Before retiring, she worked in medical office supplies for Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, FL. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was a member of the VFW Womenís Auxiliary and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

She is survived by her loving family, her children, Charles Kohler & wife, Martina, of FL; Nancy Naveau and husband, Francis, of MA; and Robert Kohler and wife, Patricia, of Fletcher; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jill, Charles, Jr. and Martina; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Olive James of MA; a number of nieces, nephews, and friends; and two beloved dogs, Misty & Tia.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, June 18, 2010 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date in the Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
