Malcolm Clyde Allen, 88 years of age, died peacefully at Carolina Village Medical Center on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Malcolm, who grew up in Roberta, GA., graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  His lifelong career with General Electric took him to many locations throughout the United States.  His marketing skills brought him to the Hendersonville General Electric Plant in 1969, where he continued until his retirement.

Malcolm is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Willa McCalla Allen; son Clark Allen (Tracy); grandsons, Conner Allen (Courtney) and Maxwell Allen Shealy; and granddaughter Caroline Allen.  He is predeceased by his daughter, Eugenia Allen Shealy.

He was a member and former board member of the Hendersonville Country Club and served many years on the Hendersonville Board of Adjustments.  Malcolm loved his family and his many friends.  His golf games of former days and his lunch buddies brought great joy to his meaningful life. No services are planned at this time.  Memorials can be made to Pardee Hospital Foundation for Women helping Women.  Shuler Funeral Home is assisting the family.
