Malik DeShawn Perry Smith, 2? month old infant son of Felicia Lynn Perry and Jermaine Alan Smith died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at his home in Hendersonville, NC.

He loved to be called ìHandsomeî and could brighten up the room with his smile. He attended the First Wesleyan Church of Hendersonville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Woody and Tammy Perry; paternal grandparents, Edith and Tommy Smith; uncle, Jeffrey Smith; maternal great-grandparents, Jim & Margret Bryson and Ronnie Perry, Melinda and Dean Newton and Donna Freeman; paternal great-grandparents, James Smith, Sr. and Margree Smith; aunts and uncles, Haley Perry, Shelby Jenkins, Greg Tabor; great-aunts and uncles, Kevin and Christine Perry, Melissa and Anthony Perry; great-great aunts and uncles, Carol Cucumber, Alice Bryson, and Bill and Barbra Sinclair; and other family, Deana Estes, second Mom; Christy Reale, like a dad; Tonya Jones, Brenda and Hank Whitt, Ashely Richardson and Isaac Richardson.

    I never got to meet your special little guy. This breaks my heart. Kim wants you to know how much you are loved through this difficult time. I lost her sister at 3 1/2 month and her brother at 19. Losing a child is not suppose to happen. God only knows why and one day we will understand.
