Mary Kushler, 85, of Hendersonville passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Emeritus Heritage Lodge.

She was a daughter of the late Michael and Sophia Cain, and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard and John Cain. A member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, she was also a member of the Opportunity House Sewing Group.

Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years, Dennis Kushler; a sister, Dorothy Gallagher of Pittsburgh, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Arden. Father Adrian Porras will be the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, PO Box 8195, Asheville, NC 28814.

    Dennis, I am so sorry for your loss of our Aunt Mary. We will miss her. We have so many wonderful memories with her growing up. I feel a peace in my heart knowing that she and my Dad John are reunited in heaven. We lost Dad in September. That was very sad. They both were very ill & in pain. Now there is no pain & no memory loss. They are both whole again. I am grateful for that. God is Great!! Amen!!
