Mary ìKayî Main, 87 of Hendersonville, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Elizabeth House.

A native of Irwin, PA, she was the daughter of the late John B. Rymer & Hester Pittillo Rymer.

Kay lived a number of years in Pittsburgh, PA where she graduated from Robert Morris Business College and participated in music seminars at Penn State University. She retired from General Motors Buick Motor Division as an executive secretary after 30 years of service. While living in Pittsburgh she was an organist for 25 years for the Pittsburgh Youth For Christ.

Kay and her husband Don, moved to Hendersonville 25 years ago. Since living in Hendersonville she was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville where she served as a church pianist. She also was a piano and voice instructor for 36 years and an officer of the Christian Womenís Club in Hendersonville.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Main; a brother, Rev. John F. Rymer and his wife Velma; and cousins, Bob Rymer and his wife Naomi and Joann Lightcap and her husband Bob.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
