Mary Mildred Mann Jackson, 82 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

She was born May 18, 1926 in Six Mile, SC, a daughter of the late James Thomas Mann and Mamie Elizabeth Kelly Mann of Six Mile. She was the wife of Vernon L. Jackson, who died August 5, 1982. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Laura Annette Jackson; two sisters Ethel Bane Portor and Annie Ruth Kelly; and seven brothers, Ernest Mann, Alvin Mann, Calvin Mann, J.T. Mann, Beauford Mann, Albert Mann, and Floyd Mann.

Surviving is her beloved son Wayne Jackson and wife Barbara; two grandchildren Russell Wayne Jackson and Holly Ann Jackson; two brothers Paul Mann and Olin Mann; a nephew Jim Mann who was very close; as well as several other beloved nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff and doctors who took care of her at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.
