Maura Allison Thomas, 33, of Hendersonville passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013.

She was a native of Falmouth, MA and a resident of Henderson County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her brother Ulus Johnson III in 2008.

Maura was a beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother. She loved music, singing and cooking. She also enjoyed reading and studying the bible. Maura was a protector of many.

Surviving is her husband, Jeremiah Thomas; children, Emma Lee Allison and Edward Isaiah Thomas; mother, Patricia Fish; father, Edward Serrano and wife Carolyn; sisters, Ami Carr and husband Adrian of Knoxville, TN, Ivy Young and husband Jason of Edneyville, Sarah McCraw and husband Chris of Taylors, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Rev. Wally Shamburger officiating.
