Nick W.K. Lefeber, 88, of Hendersonville, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. A native of Holland, he was a son of the late Anthony and Ludmilla Lefeber . A resident of Henderson County since 1948, he and his brother founded and operated the business Flower Express for over 38 years.

In Holland, he was a member of the Dutch Underground Army during WWII. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Maria Lefeber; two daughters Nicole DeCarlo of Florida and Nanette Fernandez-Rubio of Florida; one son Anthony Jose` Nicholas Lefeber of Hendersonville; two sisters Nathaly Scaskunas, of Tennessee; and Riet Adamse of Florida; one brother Anthony Lefeber of Hendersonville; and three grandchildren.

A mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 2:00pm on Friday, July 24 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend John Salvas will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
