Otelia P. Wilson

Otelia P. Wilson, 89, of Fletcher went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Universal Healthcare.

A native of Jackson County, she lived most of her life in Henderson County. She was a daughter of the late Otis and Sarah E. Woods Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Clinton and Eula Mae Lanning.

Otelia was employed by Diamond Brand for over 40 years before retiring. She was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church and enjoyed working puzzles in her free time. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and they will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her children, William Wilson (Kathy), Peggy Gooche (Dennis), and Sarah Brackett (Scott); five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and special caretaker and friend, Sharon.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Reverend Roy Waldroup officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be at the home of Billy and Kathy.

The family would like to provide a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Universal Healthcare for providing such wonderful care to their mother over the past nine years.
