Pat Lucas, 84, of Hendersonville passed awayWednesday, February 4, 2015 at her daughterís home in Arden after an extendedillness.Born in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Moon Pittman and wife of the late Roger Lucas, who died in 2001. She was also preceded in death by he rbrothers, Ray, Bob, Jack and Joe Pittman.Pat was a prior resident of Dallas, TX and moved to Hendersonville three years ago. She wasan 18-year breast cancer survivor and a volunteer at Victory in the Valley in Kansas. She was a very active member of Fruitland Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Pat is survived by her son, Lance Lucas and wife,Cynthia, of Winston-Salem; daughter, LuAnne L. Sheffield and husband, Jason, ofArden; brother, Charles Pittman and wife, Lois, of McKinney, TX; granddaughter, Megan Wren; three grandsons ,Andrew Neal Sheffield, Tyler Lucas and Jesse Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Fruitland Baptist Church. Rev. Craig Stepp will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
