Paul R. Reis, 34, of Mill Spring, died Thursday, January 15, at his home. A native who lived most of his life in Henderson County, he was a son of Amelia “Millie” Hoots of Mill Spring and Richard Reis of Atlanta, Ga. He was a graduate of West Henderson High School and had studied Broadcast Journalism at Isothermal Community College. He was on the Dean’s list while enrolled at Isothermal and also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He had lived for the past 12 years in Mill Spring. He loved engaging in social media, especially with his friends on Facebook. Paul is survived, in addition to his parents, by two brothers, Eric Huggins and Drew Reis and his wife Nikki, all of Hendersonville; his sister, Allison Reis of Hendersonville; four nieces, Tori Huggins, Kori Slaton and Summer and Katrina Hyder; his nephew, Donovan Slaton; his paternal grandmother, Jean Reis of Hendersonville and many aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held 4:00pm Friday, January 30, in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The family will receive guests following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Special Account of Amelia Hoots, Paul’ s mother, at Home Trust Bank, 140 Airport Rd. Suite P, Arden, NC 28704 to assist with funeral expenses
