Phillip Todd Hoots, 47, of Flat Rock, NC, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 14, 2010.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of Charles and Dorothy Patterson Hoots of Flat Rock.

A graduate of East Henderson High School and Blue Ridge Community College, he was an avid cyclist and enjoyed lifting weights. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Geff Hoots and wife, Cristina, of El Paso, TX; his son, Christopher Joshua Hoots; one niece, Cristi Hoots; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Shepherd Memorial Park. The Reverend Tommy Bridges will officiate.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donorís choice.
