Rita Barton Taylor, 49 of Brevard died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Mission Hospital. Born in Transylvania County she was a daughter of Beatrice Barton of Brevard and the late Fred G. Barton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taylor in February; and two brothers Benny Barton and Dan Barton.

She was the former owner of Heritage Flowers in Hendersonville.

Surviving is a daughter Maria Barton of Pickens, SC; a son Adam Reese of Greenville, SC; four grandsons Kenny, Malcolm, Zeke, and Damian; sisters and brothers Barbara Harper of Rock Hill, SC, Douglas Barton, Linda Fisher, Kenneth Barton, and Helen Hoxit all of Brevard; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life Elizabeth House, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

I Knew Rita thru her Brother Benny and Doug, and Mother Mrs. Beatrice Barton, Also I knew Her most for her God Given Talent of A Beautiful Singing voice, Her Love and Talent of Music and Hearing her singing Gospel songs at Church. Rita Came from a wonderful family and also gave back more in life than she rcieved. I Truly know she is now with her two Loving Brothers singing To Jesus. My Deepest Sympathy to all of her family.
