Bob Fox, 91, of Hendersonville died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Carolina Village Medical Center.
He was a native of Apalachin, NY, retired to Lake Panasoffkee, FL in 1982, and has resided in Hendersonville since 2001, following the death of his wife, Alice Stachnick.
Mr. Fox was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Seary Mfg. in Endicott, NY from 1956 to 1982, helping in the design and manufacture of the worldís first automatic photographic slide mounting machine. He traveled the world over to install and repair the machines. Following his retirement in 1982, Kodak enlisted his help in training local personnel and keeping the machines in good running order at several World Olympic Games and Goodwill Games.
He is survived by his daughter, Jerri and her husband, Dave Endres, of Hendersonville; son, Jim and wife, Susan, of Utica, IL; son, Rob of Virginia Beach; grandson, Chris Endres of Brooklyn, OH; granddaughter, Megan and her husband, Andy Paparella, of Arlington, VA; and great-granddaughter, Isabelle, and great-grandson, Joshua.
No service will be held.
