Robert Lincoln Trimble, Sr., 82, of Hendersonville departed this life peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018 following a brief stay in Pardee Hospital. Born on August 29, 1935 in Niles, Michigan, he was a son of the late Kermith Walker and Anne Dumler Trimble. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Wade Trimble; brother, Richard Clarence Trimble and sister, Suzanne Sarah Floyd.
Bob was raised in Kansas, California and northern Virginia; however, he spent most of his life in Richmond, then later in Tazewell, VA and finally, Hendersonville, NC. He was a graduate of the University of Richmond, an army veteran, and a successful entrepreneur. Bob founded and ran two systems engineering companies, an asset-liability management company, a commercial printer, a retail marketing firm and even a brewery. He additionally served as a board member of the Tazewell County (VA) Economic Development Committee. Over the span of his life, Bob enjoyed many his many friendships, his family, sailing, golf and his beloved dog, Ben.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay Crawford Trimble; two sons, Todd Hampton Trimble and Robert Lincoln Trimble, Jr.; five grandchildren, Jack Hampton Trimble, Robert Lincoln Trimble III, Daniel Christopher Trimble, Lydia Marie Trimble and Benjamin Alexander Trimble; daughters-in-law, Andrea Elisabeth Trimble and Lily Constance Latridis.
Bob will be missed by all who knew him for his kindness and warmth.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
