Roberto Rivera, 78 of Palm Bay, Florida died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Jose Rivera Teron and Carmen Pacheco. He retired from the US Air Force where he was an airline mechanic, and from the US Postal Service. He was affiliated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Palm Bay and loved to go fishing and hunting.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who is survived by his wife of 54 years, Aida Rivera; his children Alicia Espada of Okeechobee, FL, Roberto Rivera, Jr. of West Virginia, Aida Montalvo of Columbus, NC, Maria Santiago of Palm Bay, FL and Eric Rivera of Palm Bay, FL; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Elsa Rodriguez; and a brother Luis Rivera.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 5 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Columbus, NC.
