Rosann O’Neall “Ronnie” Rawson, 81, of Hendersonville, NC, died Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2008 at Pardee Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth O’Neall, and wife of Frank Rawson, who died in 2005. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Nice of Oakland, CA.

She was a graduate of Ohio State University. She moved to Hendersonville 15 years ago and became an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was also involved in the community life in her neighborhood and was an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her loving family, two sons, Michael Rawson and wife, Connie de la Vega, of Oakland, CA, and Robert Rawson and wife, Sheila Keady Rawson, of Arlington, MA; and two grandsons, Casey de la Vega-Rawson and Cody Nice, both of Oakland, CA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 900 Blythe Street, Hendersonville, NC 28791.

    Ronnie was a neighbor of mine in CArriage Park. I was sorry to hear about her death. I will always remember her loving face and helpful nature. I know she will be missed by many people. But I also know that she is with God now, and no longer suffering.
