Rosemary Boyd, 81, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Pardee Hospital.

Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Wilamina Hooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Boyd, Sr. who passed away in April of 2014.

Rosemary was a homemaker who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a member of Fruitland United Methodist Church and a member of the Daughters of the Nile which is affiliated with Omar Temple.

Rosemary is survived by her son, William Boyd, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Hendersonville; daughter, Connie Harkins and her husband, Tim, of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters, Katie and Amy Muckenfuss of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, Lewis Boyd of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Fruitland United Methodist Church with the Reverends Jerry Warren and Steve Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at 2 pm Monday, July 14, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Gardens in N. Charleston, SC.
